Minnesota Seniors: ACT NOW! The August 11 primary election is 4 weeks away, and election offices are seeing unprecedented numbers of requests for absentee ballots. If you plan to play it safe in this year of COVID and vote from home, use the absentee ballot and take the
following steps quickly:
  1. Request an absentee ballot. Click here.
  2. Follow instructions to fill out the ballot, as follows:
  • Fill in the ballot for one party’s contenders. (I chose the DFL!)
  • Put the ballot in a brown envelope to protect your privacy.
  • Then put the ballot and cover envelope in the white envelop that you sign.

REMEMBER: THE LAW HAS CHANGED AND YOU DO NOT NEED A WITNESS.

Mail this back in the already stamped envelope ASAP. This will get your vote to the election center. Ballots should be mailed in time to arrive on August 11 and no later than August 13.

Allow extra time!

Vote-by-mail takes a little more time but it keeps us all safe!

If you choose to vote early in person, early voting has already started for the primary and continues through August 10. Locate your early voting place by clicking here.

Finally, good old fashioned polls will be open on primary day on August 11th for those who choose to vote then and there. Find your polling place by clocking here.
